Commissioned by the first grand hotel of Europe to help celebrate their 150th anniversary, The Armour takes place in three areas of the Langham. Tickets are still available via Defibrillator – and seeing as you made it to my website, why not use the coupon code “defibfriend” to get a cheaper £20 seat. Yes. You win.
The text is available as the programme, published by Methuen Drama, at the venue for £4. If you can’t make it to the show, it’s available from Bloomsbury directly here.
The reviews have been mostly outstanding and very considered responses to the work. Verity Healey’s review for Theatre Bubble stands out for me as a piece of writing. The Guardian’s Michael Billington calls the play’s writing “ingenious”, which I’ll take any day. Plays to See gave the production a 5-star billing, which is any playwright’s dream.
